February 14 2011

I woke up this morning to find* this fine necklace from Andy. I admired it for quite some time. It is by PiperBlue. Sort of fun to do gifts this year… we don’t ordinarily do that. (Maybe this is even the first time we have?!)

And the two older kids went out the door with their homemade Valentines. They insist on making their own every year which sort of surprises me. I always expect they’d rather have “Cars” or “Princess” Valentines, but they really like to make each one for their friends. Each time, the process is the same: draw hearts on construction paper, color them, cut them out, punch holes, insert suckers. Last year, my daughter wrote messages on each one, like “Be mine” and “You’re cute,” but this year they just signed their names.

Last day to download the “Strong Team” Valentines!

* There is more to the story about how I found this necklace. It involves my three-year-old who woke up before me. If I have time, I’ll tell you how that went…
