2:00 p.m.

Coolest hat ever in my opinion. My husband’s friend made it for him out of an old button-down shirt (and I haven’t seen much come out of his sewing machine since and I wonder why because this is amazing). Anyway, I spent part of the last hour clipping strings from it so Andy can wear it tonight (the inside is lined with denim and over the years it started to fray).

And my baby brother sent this (although not because he wanted to submit it for my blog!). That’s him closest to the camera before climbing up to cut the roof at this restaurant fire in Boone (yesterday):
