Sketch prompt #30: Pattern. I liked the idea of doing something with a sewing pattern and moved toward sewing mannequins and eventually… I got this.

Sketch prompt #31: Wind. This has become a familiar sight while driving through Iowa farmlands. Where you guys live, too? (And do you ever see the parts to these on semi trucks driving down the interstate? The scale is incredible.) Oh, wind turbines feel so majestic to me. One of my very favorite design clients works to promote wind energy on small to mid-size Iowa farms and wow… I will stop. I could go on and on about these. Just awe-inspiring.

Sketch prompt #32: Hollow. Yikes, look out. This turned out creepy. The thing that popped straight into my mind was the movie “Hollow Man” because it was one of the worst movies (my apologies if it is any of your favorite movies!) I remember seeing. I’m a generally all-movie-loving kind of girl, but wow. This one. If I remember correctly, they even somehow showed a woman’s breast being caressed by nothing (invisible “Hollow Man’s” hand, you know). Ugh. It was just something. Anyway… this is supposed to be Kevin Bacon. Ahaha. No likeness. Just creepy. (This is one time I truly wish I wasn’t posting all of my drawings!) Sorry, K.B.

Sketch prompt #33: Rose. I sympathize with the mom in this one… oh, if only kids rose a little later! I am a night person. I love working at night and always have. I think my natural clock is set to sleep at 1:30 a.m. and wake up at 9:00 a.m. I don’t think the kids’ school would go for that. Sigh.
